Voith Paper Fabrics Kunshan has experienced excellent sales growth since its inception into the paper machine clothing market in 1998. Voith has supported the Kunshan facility by both investing in equipment as well as transferring technology from its more established production sites in North America & Europe. The Kunshan facility can manufacture the very latest press fabric developments from Voith Paper Fabrics,including PrintFlex V which utilizes tri-axial non-woven technology. Voith is fully committed to investing and expanding in the Chinese market and officially opened its Paper Service Centers in Kunshan and Dongying in October 2003. We are pleased to announce that from March 2005 on, a further major investment with the expansion of Voith Paper Fabrics Kunshan has been finished.



From March 2005 on, Voith Paper Fabrics Kunshan is capable of producing the full range of cutting edge, reliable press fabrics from the Voith Paper Fabrics portfolio and to the same exacting standards as Voith factories in Europe and North America. Voith’s investment in the Kunshan facility is aimed at meeting the growing demands of the Asia/Pacific region. The large expansion includes the addition of a new building, weaving looms, needle looms and finishing machines, as well as fiber blending and carding lines.

Forming fabric production and technology has increased significantly with the introduction of an automated heatsetting system and increased loom capabilities. Investment in state-of-the-art finishing equipment and the use of customized materials ensures that we apply the best possible edge treatments.

Established in 1995, Voith Paper Fabrics Ipoh supplies the rapidly expanding paper and board market of Asia.
